This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
i sometimes hat myself. i want to draw(and i mean REALLY WANT TO) but everytime im actually able to go draw something i end up doing other things. i think im just to afraid that what i create is not how i desire it to be.....
ive gotta try to get more self-esteem. luckily ive been managing to improve it slowly. i have even started drawing random things in my notebooks when idle again!
another good thing for me is that i got myself a memory upgrade and now have a computer packing a hex-core cpu and 8Gb of ram with a nvidia GPU with cuda(Physx and CS5 love this). my system is near perfect for doing creative things with and my rendering experiments have sped up quite alot, apparently having a good gaming computer is as equally usefull for other things. now if only i could create something worthy of the internets.
heres a small question that has been bothering me:
WHY doesnt any of the professional 3d-renders make use of the awesome mass-processing revolution that is the GPGPU?!? if a GPU can render a stunning 3D-environment for a game in real-time why do us moddelers have to wait frikkin hours for one frame!?! Renderers rely on photon tracing (simulating the reflection of thousands to millions of light beams) to get the 3D images we love and current GPUs specialise in performing many simultaneous calculations(like photon-tracing for games) magnitudes faster then a CPU.
when will they finally make the transition from CPU to GPU?
im not very skilled at 3d-arts(im a Newbie). ive learned myself everything sofar and im always looking for ways(or tuts) to become a better modeler. my software of choice is Maya. Why? i use maya cause i feel more at home with maya's industrial like interface. many think of maya as having the steepest curve, but i feel the best in a complex environment with many possibilities(and i love the dynamics i can use).
im not an art student but i enjoy drawing and modeling. i dont like the idea of making a hobby work as it takes the whole Free-time ocupation away from it. then again im not of to college yet and perhaps i can follow a few classes one day (if i havent outlearn the material by then)
anyway if you have any ideas for a 3d-model please tell me. i want to try to bring ideas to life which aren't my own...that and my imagination ain't the best.
i haven't been really active in 2010 (rather busy) but now that i have a new system capable of rendering at higher speed (and some good tutorials) i have regained the will to mess around in maya. Tools i Use: Maya2010 3DS Max 2011 *trial Zbrush 4 Shave and Haircut(hair plugin) *trial Ruins (plugin)
